Supportive Environment
Goucher’s education graduate courses combine a flexible start and curriculum, top-quality
instruction by experts in the field, and a rigorous course of study. More importantly,
Goucher provides the support students need to meet the challenges of achieving a work-life
balance, while fully preparing students to meet the demands of today’s classrooms.
Students have easy access to faculty, tuition-free self-paced support classes related
to several licensure assessments, and opportunities to dialog with instructors and
peers in meaningful discourse and exchange of ideas.
The Master of Education Program
The Master of Education (M.Ed.) Program is designed for educators who wish to advance their careers by taking an advanced or leadership role within their school system. Many of our M.Ed. options include accommodations for educators who are not currently in the classroom and have a passion and talent for working with youth.
The Master of Arts in Teaching Program
The Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) Program supports future educators in pursuit of an initial career in teaching and assists career changers who wish to become teachers. The M.A.T. program has a long history of preparing both traditional and conditional teachers seeking to meet the needs of their students and obtain initial licensure.
