Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy (SAP)

Federal and state regulations require Goucher monitor the academic progress of potential and current financial aid recipients.  Students must comply with the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) as a condition of initial or continuing eligibility.  The SAP policy is comprised of three components:  minimum grade point average (qualitative), completion rate (quantitative), and maximum time frame for completion of degree.  Note that the SAP policy for financial aid may differ from the academic policies required to remain at Goucher.

Satisfactory Academic Progress (Undergraduates)

This policy relates to full-time undergraduates who apply for and/or receive federal financial aid, MD state aid, and/or Goucher College grants.

Satisfactory Academic Progress (Graduate Students)

This policy relates to graduate students who apply for and/or receive federal financial aid, MD state aid, and/or Goucher College grants.
