FASTS: Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get a PIN?

If you are a first-time user, click the "First Time User" link at the FASTS home page and follow the instructions to set up a PIN.  Once you have created a PIN, use the Returning User Link for future visits or if you have forgotten your password.

As a current Goucher student, enter your Goucher issued ID number and your current FASTS PIN. If you no longer have your PIN, select the "Forgot Your Pin" option and follow the instructions to set up a PIN.  If you need to reset your password, use the Returning User Link at

Why can't I access FASTS.

If you received Error IA a PIN has already been established.  Use the Returning User Link to access FASTS.

If you have attempted to access FASTS three times your account may be locked.  You will be contacted by office within 48 hours that your account is reactivated.

Do I need a new PIN each year?

No. Once you've set up a PIN this will continue to be your PIN while enrolled at Goucher College.

What if I forget or lose my PIN?

Click the "Forgot your PIN" link at the FASTS log in page. Then answer at least one of the security questions you selected the first time you logged into FASTS. You will then have to establish a new PIN. If you are unsuccessful establishing your new PIN, contact the Office of Student Financial Aid by email to to have the PIN reset.

How often is the system updated?

The system is real time. However, please allow time for the Office of Student Financial Aid to process the documents you submit.

May I contact the Office of Student Financial Aid through FASTS?

Yes. On each screen, the help button located at the top of the page next to the logout button, will link you directly to our email address.

Where can I get the forms listed on the Documents tab?

 You may download forms from the “Document” tab or by selecting the “Forms” tab.

May I accept my awards online?

Yes, if you are ready to accept or decline your awards, click on the Accept Awards tab.
