Returning to Campus

Commuters and off-campus residents who wish to reside on-campus next year should pay both their enrollment and room deposits.  Paying a room deposit does not guarantee students a space in campus housing.  This payment will only secure a space on the waitlist.  After submitting a room deposit, students currently commuting or living off-campus should contact the Office of Residential Life at ResidentialLife@goucher.edu to confirm their placement on a waitlist.  Students will be assigned after the Room Draw process has been completed and if Residential Life is unable to secure them a room, their room deposit will be refunded. 

Moving Off Campus

Residential living is fundamental to the mission of the college and the Goucher student experience, and all full-time undergraduate students are required to live on campus and must participate in one of the college meal plans. Exceptions may be made for students who choose to commute from their permanent home address within 30 miles of Goucher's campus.

Students wishing to apply to live off-campus in non-Goucher housing may do so at http://www.goucher.edu/housingdirector.  

Very few students will be permitted to move off-campus for the coming 2017/2018 academic year.  Students are cautioned not to sign a lease off-campus until after they have received permission to be released from their residential living requirement.  Applications are due by March 17, 2017.  If approved, students are refunded the $100.00 housing deposit.  Students who choose to live off-campus even if after denied will be financially responsible for room and board.
