Move In 

Checking in at Move-In is the first step to moving to campus.  This process begins at the front of the Dorsey Center. Here, students pick up their fall orientation materials, resolve any holds on their records, pick up their OneCard student ID, complete a vehicle dashboard card that will aid in moving into their residence hall, and swipe their OneCard to officially check-in to Goucher! 

All new students (including those transferring to Goucher), should plan to arrive at the Dorsey Center Courtyard for check-in on Saturday, August 19. Arrival times are determined by residence hall assignment. Each residential student will receive an email from the Office of Residential Life, sent to their Goucher email address, indicating their housing assignment. At that time, the student should select their move-in time. It's imperative that students (and their families/friends) arrive only during the time assigned. If a student arrives before their scheduled time, they will be asked to wait. Please arrive only during that designated timeframe. 

If a student plans to shop at nearby stores and needs to unload right outside of their residence hall for a second time, please plan to arrive after 12:45 p.m. If, after shopping off campus, students and their families/friends can carry items from the Dorsey parking lot to their residence halls, they return to campus at any time.

Early Arrival Move-In 

Students who arrive early on campus (as required by their specific programs etc.) are assigned separate move-in times.  Each early arriving program will have specific details for their participants, and a student must have permission to move to campus earlier than August 19. Students will also receive their fall orientation and other important materials at this time. 

Student Move-In To-Do List

• Complete the Emergency Notification and Vehicle Registration form. Completing this form will allow you to bypass that step at check-in and move you through the line quicker. 
  
  
• Send in your selfie to selfie@goucher.edu; in the subject line please include your student ID number starting with the two zeros (00#######). Sending in a qualified selfie will ensure that your OneCard is ready for pick up and will allow you to bypass the process of obtaining one.

Classes at Goucher College begin Thursday, August 24.
