Mission
The 1021 Hip Hop Team's goal is to share the art of hip hop dance on and off Goucher's
campus. This is done through performing at various events, teaching workshops and
hosting an annual showcase each spring semester. The team is made up of strong hip
hop dancers who strive to improve skills not only in dance but in leadership and
choreographic opportunities.

الجالية (Al-Jalia) means community, and this club seeks to create a strong community among students studying and interested in Arabic culture and language. The Arab world is expansive, and we offer many ways to interact with and learn about Arabic culture and language. We host film nights, we gather to play music, we prepare and eat delicious food. We value sharing diverse voices and perspectives and providing a space where students can learn, explore and feel supported.

The Black Gophers' focus is to create a network for student-athletes of color to connect across teams. The Black Gophers Coalition provides a safe space and offers a platform to advocate for action against anti-Blackness at the College and in the Athletic Department. The Black Gophers want to empower black student-athletes to share their experience as student-athletes at Goucher, to create and attend programming that speaks to their experience, to create a network of alumni to whom they can reach out for advice and career opportunities, and to invest in community service projects that speak directly to them.

The Center for Race, Equity, and Identity (CREI) transforms lives through community building, education, engagement, and the exploration of identities. We strive to improve the institutional advancement of all marginalized students, specifically students of color, LGBTQIA+ students, and disabled students/students with disabilities.

VISION
We envision a Goucher community that is mindful of our community principles and embodies our social justice mission, a community that recognizes people from various backgrounds interact and experience systems and structures differently and how that shapes the lived experience. Dungeons, Dragons, and Gophers is a club created to support, facilitate, and educate the college on Dungeons and Dragons related activities. We plan to do this via play sessions, training, get-togethers, and other activities. Our primary focus is giving interested parties the opportunity to experience and explore actual Dungeons and Dragons gameplay in a casual setting with players and Dungeon Masters of all experience levels.
