Closing your post office box
No matter how good you’ve been about letting people know not to send any more mail to your Goucher address, some things are going to wind up here anyway. Here’s how to make sure you get everything that’s coming to you — and make sure your account with the Goucher Post Office is closed once and for all.
Changing your address
Notify each of the businesses that send you mail (magazines, credit card companies, catalogues, etc.) that you have a new address. Tell the Goucher Post Office where to send your mail. You must do this in person, in writing, or by e-mail — address-change requests cannot be processed over the phone. Your mail will be forwarded for one year after you leave Goucher College. Any mail received after that will be returned to the sender.
Turning in your keys
You can turn in your mailbox key twenty-four hours a day seven days a week. Look for the key return directions located beside teh big bulletin board, in the coerner, near the post office counter. If you forget to return it while you’re still on campus, you can mail it to the following address:
Attn: Emma Ruthloff Goucher College Post Office
1021 Dulaney Valley Rd.,
Baltimore, MD 21204.
If your key is not received within 30 days after Commencement, you will be charged $50.
