A world of possibility awaits you, but so do a lot of questions and concerns.

You want Goucher College to be a part of your future, but can you and your family afford it? And what will be expected of you once you are enrolled?

You know you have the drive, the desire, and the potential to make the most of a Goucher education—you just need the opportunity to make it happen.

Since 2006, Goucher College has provided students with this opportunity.  The Maryland Scholars Program (formerly the Education Opportunity Program/EOP Scholars) is a four-year comprehensive education and financial assistance program for first-generation Maryland residents from under-served socio-economic backgrounds who exhibit intellectual promise, motivation, and scholarship.

In partnership with state and federal funding, grants, and generous gifts, the Maryland Scholars Program provides selected students with the opportunity to experience a transformational and forward thinking liberal arts education within a supportive, close-knit community. Goucher is prepared to make this commitment for four years as long as the student remains in good academic standing.
