The Common Application

The Common Application, or "common app," is widely used to streamline the application process for students and officials from high schools and other colleges. The Common App is the only application form that Goucher accepts. We also need you to complete a brief supplemental form, on which we ask a few additional questions, and to submit one essay (500 words maximum), which will be part of your Common App.

The application process differs for traditional first-year students, transfer students, international students, homeschoolers, students eligible for the EOP Program, and non-traditional undergraduates, so be sure to check what you need to include in your complete application to be considered for admission.

You can choose to submit your application electronically or through the postal mail.

In addition, the $55 application fee or NACAC/College Board fee waiver is required for all applicants using printed or electronic applications. Applicants submitting an online Common App may submit the $55 fee online using a credit card through the Common App system or by mailing to our office a NACAC/College Board fee waiver. Applicants submitting a printed Common App should mail a check, money order, or fee waiver to our office.
