Psi Chi Induction Ceremony 2007

Release date: May 30, 2007

This year’s ceremony was one of the largest with 24 inductees. We also formally acknowledged some of last year's inductees who did not get to participate in the induction ceremony last spring because they were studying abroad. The newest members of Goucher’s Psi Chi Chapter are Mouna Attarha, Justin Bakhshai, Molly Cincotta, Rachael Conklin, Caroline Corcoran, Angelica Daniele, Abigail Hammer, Rachel Honig, Jessica Hood, Colin Howard, Kelly Hugger, Veronica Kemeny, Eric Laufe, Alex McSay, Tova Narrow, Liesl O’Kane, Alexandra Orme, Emily A. Ramsay, Lori Rosenfelder, Meredith Schmidt, Samuel Skeen, Haley Sweet, Tejhra White, and Kristine Winner.

With the help and organization of faculty co-sponsors, Dr. Carol Mills and Dr. Thomas Ghirardelli, this year’s induction ceremony began with a sit-down dinner in Buchner Hall of the Alumnae/i House for the inductees, current Psi Chi members, family of the inductees, and faculty.

Following the dinner, the Psi Chi co-chairs, Molly Abend and Mallory Clark, officiated the ceremony by acknowledging the purposes and ideals of Psi Chi, and Dr. Ghirardelli delineated the history of Psi Chi at Goucher College.

To highlight the significance of the inductees’ acceptance into Psi Chi, each inductee signed the chapter registration book as a pledge, and his or her candle was lighted.

We elected Mouna Attarha and Lori Rosenfelder as co-chairs and Meredith (Merii) Schmidt as secretary for the 2007-08 school year.
