Prof. Marin Pichler publishes a research paper in Physical Review A

Release date: February 21, 2006

Marin Pichler, Assistant Professor of Physics, published a paper "Observation of blue satellite bands and photoassociation at ultracold temperatures" in the Rapid Communication Section of the Physical Review A(reference is Physical Review A, 73, 021403(R), 2006 )

Physical Review series is a publication of the American Physical Society, and is one of the most prestigious physics journals. Rapid Communication Section of the Physical Review A publishes the most significant (and timely) articles in the field of Atomic and Molecular Physics, Prof. Pichler's research area. This paper is a result of Prof. Pichler's collaborative work with the research groups at the University of Connecticut as well as at the Institute of Physics in Zagreb, Croatia.

This work has already generated significant buzz in the Atomic and Molecular Physics community: Prof. Pichler is invited to give a presentation at the 18th International Conference on Spectral Line Shapes to be held in Auburn, AL in June 2006. This biennial conference is the main international forum for both fundamental and applied works dealing with processes related to the formation of the spectral lines profiles and with their use for diagnostic purposes. Last two conferences were held in Berkley, USA and Paris, France.
