Career Panel: Where Physics Has Taken Me

On Monday, November 8, three recent physics alumni; Daniel Barker, ('08), Adrien Thormann, ('10) and Dr. Jay Zeck, ('05) will come back to their Alma Mater to talk about their post-Goucher careers for the "Celebration of Physics: Where Physics Has Taken Me" career panel. Daniel Barker, a graduate student in experimental physics at University of Maryland College Park, will give a presentation on his current research entitled "Exploring Condensed Matter Physics with Ultracold Atoms". Adrien, a graduate student in mechanical engineering at Johns Hopkins University will talk about careers in engineering and Dr. Jay Zeck (2009 M.D. George Washington University), will speak about his career as a medical doctor.
This event is sponsored by the Samuel Newton Taylor Lectureship, the Career Development Office, the Physics/Astronomy Club and the Department of Physics and Astronomy. This event will be held on Monday, November 8 at 3:30pm in Hoffberger Science Building (room B26) and all Goucher students, faculty and staff are invited to participate.
