By studying abroad, choosing three-week intensive courses led by Goucher faculty or semester programs suited to their academic plans, Goucher philosophy students gain a global perspective that enhances their course of study. Study-abroad opportunities for students studying philosophy include the following three-week program lead by Goucher faculty:

CHINA: Past, Present and Future, which offers an exploration of China's intellectual history as well as an examination of its current social and political situation.

POLAND: The Politics of Memory, which explores the formation of community within the Polish context, with an emphasis on how community is a continuously revised, contested, and institutionalized form of cultural memory.
