The Taipei National University of The Arts is a pioneer school in arts education with 39 sister schools in 15 countries and is quickly becoming recognized as one of the world's top 100 arts universities. TNUA is located in a very urban setting, and participants in the TNUA Dance Exchange will have opportunities to see countless performances during their stay in Taiwan. The art school is comprised of many different areas of study including visual arts, theater, and dance. Coursework is taught in English. Students on this intensive dance program may take coursework in Indonesian dance, Chinese theatre dance, Chinese martial arts, ballet, and modern technique. The goal of TNUA's intensive dance program is to better prepare dancers for a world of professional dance, as supported by their successful graduates who have danced for companies such as Cloud Gate and Martha Graham. The acclaimed program provides dance experiences that engage the individual in a discipline of mind/body integration, training students to acquire and synthesize intellectual and kinesthetic learning in order to create critical thinkers on and off the stage.
Students will live in dormitories with other international and host country students. There is a $3,000 tuition discount for this program.
Eligibility and Prerequisites
This is a highly selective program and students must receive the nomination of the Goucher Dance Department Chair to receive an application. Dance students must have declared a dance major, have completed Advanced levels of ballet or modern technique. Eligibility Requirements: Gen GPA: 2.5. Dance GPA: 3.0

Please note that both the application and fee are due in the Office of International Studies. All students must attend an advising session at least one week prior to the deadline in the Office of International Studies to obtain an application.
Eligibility and Prerequisites:
Students must have declared a major and taken prerequisite courses. Students must have completed three semesters in college-level residence. Students must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher to apply.
