I was in Paris from August 13, 2009 - December 21, 2009 with the IFE field study and internship program. After 5 weeks of crash courses, and one week of vacation spent in Madrid and Prague, I started my internship at la Ligue des Droits de l’Homme, a non-profit organization. At my internship I mostly worked the phone lines, helping callers with their legal and human rights issues. I worked with a team of other interns, who were really friendly and helpful and with whom I became good friends. I had an amazing time at my internship, and in Paris in general - I learned a lot about the French legal system, about working in a field I plan to pursue post-graduation, while improving my French skills and confidence.
