At Goucher College, we don't just study local and sustainable agricultural systems - we create and actively manage them.


Students at Goucher College can take an active role in their local food systems. Since 2011, students have raised lettuce in a hydroponic system on campus.  The lettuce is sold to the college's food service provider, Bon Appétit, where it is served to Goucher College students in the college's dining halls.  Please click on the links to the left to learn more about the hydroponic system.
