Ballet Guest Artist in Residence: Nilas Martins

Nilas Martins, former principal dancer with the New York City Ballet and co-director of the Academy of Nevada Ballet Theatre, will teach ballet classes and stage Episodes by George Balanchine and Bournonville Divertissements by August Bournonville for the Goucher Repertory Dance Ensemble Spring Concert on April 11 and 12.   Master classes are open to high-intermediate and advanced modern dancers. Meet Martins on Friday, February 14, at 6 p.m. in Todd Dance Studio. Enjoy the opportunity to ask questions, hear about his creative endeavors, and watch Goucher dancers in rehearsal for the upcoming Goucher Repertory Dance Ensemble Concert.  Free and open to the public.

Nilas Martins also will give a master class on Saturday, February 15, at 10 a.m. in Todd Dance Studio for advanced dancers and professionals.  Reservations must be made by contacting Elizabeth Ahearn at 410-337-6399 or at eahearn@goucher.edu.  The class fee is $20.
