Ballet Guest Artist in Residence: Dermot Burke

Dermot Burke, choreographer, performer and teacher will teach master classes and set a work on Goucher dancers to be performed on the Dancers in Action Fall Dance Concert.  He began his professional career as a dancer in 1965 with The Joffrey Ballet. He has appeared in an Emmy-award winning dance special, A Patchwork of Love, was a featured dancer in the Houston Opera's A Soldier's Tale, a principal dancer with The National Ballet, and co-directed the NYC-based Eglevsky Ballet. He has been on staff for the Milwaukee Ballet, Princeton Ballet, and has choreographed for the Pacifc Northwest Ballet, American Repertory Ballet, and Dayton Ballet. Currently he is the director of Dayton Ballet Association.
