Excellence in Community Engagement Award Nomination Form

The Excellence in Community Engagement award recognizes and celebrates Goucher College faculty and staff who are dedicated to excellence in community-based work. In celebrating and developing civic engagement leaders and mentors, Goucher College demonstrates its commitment to civic engagement in Baltimore and around the world. All Goucher College faculty and staff are eligible.

The 2013 recipient, Frances Donelan was recognized and honored an exceptional individual who thoughtfully educates our students while working to address pressing community issues. Dr. Nina Kasniunas, our 2014 recipient, was recognized as a supportive, good humored and open-minded colleague who gives herself wholeheartedly to her students in countless ways. 

Nominees for this year's award should inspire others to engage in their community while serving as an important role model. Anyone may nominate, and self-nominations are welcome. Major elements of a nominee's contributions will include: the depth of community engagement; to degree to which community voice is incorporated into community-based activities; and, quality and overall impact of the work performed.
