Nsenga K. Burton, Ph.D. is Chair and Associate Professor of Communication and Media Studies at Goucher College. She is founder and editor-in-chief of TheBurtonWire, an award-wining online news site that covers news of the African Diaspora. She also serves as editor-at-large for TheRoot.com and Executive Director of the National Association of Multicultural Digital Entrepreneurs. She is the recipient of the 2013 National Association of Black Journalists' Ray Taliaferro Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Dr. Burton is currently writing a book on race and gender in reality television.
