2016 Borden-Gladding International Management Award Announced

Goucher's Business Management Department proudly announces Katie Thompson as winner of the 2016 Borden-Gladding International Management Award, which supports Goucher students while they complete international interships to enhance their career commitment to international business.  In Fall 2016 Katie will be studying and working in Torino, Italy with a leading Italian company, such as Nutella or Fiat.  She hopes to specialize in finance or human resources management and plans to use her internship to gain insight on how cultural differences influence business functions.  "During my time abroad I have even set a goal to visit a large international business in every country I visit.  This will give me insight on how business functions vary across Europe."  In addition to majoring in Business Management, Katie is a member of the women's track and field team and the Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC).  She also serves as President of the Student Empowerment Association (SEA), one of the three branches of Goucher Student Government.  Congratulations Katie!
