The President's Forum

The President's Forum at Goucher College was launched in 2005. It brings to campus notable figures from various fields and backgrounds for incisive discussions and lively debates on today's most vital issues. Presented twice a year (in the fall and spring), the Forum is an open invitation to the members of our community - both on campus and beyond — to participate in the intellectual life of the college through open dialogue on topics both relevant and timely.

Robert & Jane Meyerhoff Visiting Professorship Series

The Robert and Jane Meyerhoff Visiting Professorship was created to bring distinguished scholars, teachers, and practitioners to Goucher's campus to advance local and national dialogues on pressing issues of our time. The theme of the Meyerhoff lecture series' for the past several years has been environmental science.

Supported by a $2 million gift from Adrienne Arsht in memory of her mother, the Roxana Cannon Arsht '35 Center for Ethics and Leadership explores ethics and leadership across a range of liberal arts disciplines.

Henry and Ruth Blaustein Rosenberg Lecture-Performance

For almost five decades, the annual Henry and Ruth Blaustein Rosenberg Lecture-Performance has featured notable musicians including Marilyn Horne, Isaac Stern, Yo-Yo Ma, Aaron Copland, Ravi Shankar, Cyrus Chestnut, and Leon Fleisher. Established in 1959 with a gift from the Louis and Henrietta Blaustein Foundation, the Rosenberg Lecture-Performance honors the late Henry and Ruth Blaustein Rosenberg, the latter a 1921 Goucher alumna.

The Myra Berman Kurtz '66 Seminar

The Kurtz Seminar series was endowed by the late Myra Berman Kurtz '66 and her husband, Dr. Stuart Kurtz, to present speakers at Goucher College who will inspire undergraduate students to pursue careers in a variety of fields.
