Class Key:

Level 1 Mat Classes:
Group mat classes focus on the mat sequences developed by Joseph H. Pilates. They are a wonderful introduction to the method and are also a perfect supplement to private instruction. All classes are leveled and advancement to the next level is by instructor’s approval only.

Beginner classes are for all students without prior experience with Authentic Pilates® and serve as an introduction to the exercises and principles of Pilates.

Appropriate knowledge of mat exercises, sequences and Pilates terminology is a prerequisite for mat class advancement. The mat exercises require no special equipment and once learned can be performed anywhere. Group mat classes are not suggested for individuals with serious injuries or health problems.


Level 2 Mat Classes:

Advanced classes build upon the foundation built in the lower level classes. Challenging exercises and variations are added and tempo increases. Reformer exercises are introduced and mastered in order to challenge the advanced student and to add diversity to one's workout.

Level 4 - 6 Mixed Mat Classes:


This class is for clients who have mastered Levels 1-3 and have received approval from an instructor to take Level 4 or above.  Inspired by historical film footage of Joseph Pilates teaching his body conditioning method, this class will focus on a different theme each week: Archival Mat, Reformer mat, and Magic Circle Mat to strengthen the body, improve cardiovascular health, increase flexibility, and balance the mind, body, and spirit.


Private Instruction:
Private sessions offer an opportunity for individual attention. Private instruction is designed specifically for the client, based on his/her strengths, weaknesses, and injury history and fitness goals. These sessions utilize all of Joseph Pilates’ unique apparatus and are for the individual who wants to focus on specific aspects of his/her workout.
