Allie Laban-Baker brings more than 25 years of communications and marketing experience to her role as vice president for communications at Goucher. Previously, Allie served as vice president for global communications at AMD Alliance International, a worldwide consortium of organizations concerned with macular disease. Allie also served for nine years as senior director of communications and marketing for The Foundation Fighting Blindness. In addition, her experience includes work in the corporate world as manager of external relations for Choice Hotels International. Allie began her career as a television reporter and lived in Vienna, Austria, where she worked for an international Olympic organization. Allie earned her bachelor of arts degree from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, where she studied communications and broadcast journalism. Allie and her husband Norman live just outside of Baltimore. They both enjoy golf, cross- country skiing, and playing the violin for the Symphony of the Potomac.

Kristen Keener is Goucher College's director of media relations. Previously, Kristen spent nearly eight years with a Maryland daily newspaper as an editor of magazines, special supplements, and the weekly arts and entertainment edition. She feels confident her years in journalism will help prepare her to find interesting news stories and spread the word about Goucher College. She earned her bachelor of arts in literature and French at Washington College in Chestertown and feels very comfortable in a small, liberal arts college setting. In her spare time, Kristen eats a lot and then has to run a lot. She also enjoys traveling and reading. |

Jim Sheehan has worked as an actor, scenic carpenter, exhibit designer, advertising copywriter, and playwriting instructor. He earned a master of fine arts degree in playwriting from Catholic University, and his plays have been produced in New York, Washington, D.C., and Baltimore. He recently wrote the libretto for Goucher music professor Kendall Kennison's opera, The Window Seat, which premiered here in Merrick Hall in May 2006.

Greg Wilkin is the director of design and production services and has been with Goucher College since 2001. He has held a variety of creative positions in his career serving as an art director for several major publishing companies, including: Random House, Penguin Books, and Dell Publishing. He was the publications director for the University of Maine and most recently worked as a creative director for an Internet start-up company in Philadelphia. Greg earned his bachelor's degree in Fine Art from Wilmington College in Wilmington, Ohio and did extensive postgraduate work at Akron University. Greg is also a professional artist whose work is shown at the Frank Miele Gallery in New York City. |
