UNDERGRADUATE PREMEDICAL PROGRAM EVENTS FALL 2008MCAT REVIEW: Thursdays with Kyle Strimbu (ex 6203), 4:30-5:20, Kelly Lecture Hall Thursdays beginning September 11 from 4:30-5:20 in Kelly Lecture Hall, First MCAT Class: Orientation to the MCAT with Kyle Strimbu. During September and October you need to meet individually with the premedical advisor, Dr. George Delahunty to review your record with regard to applying to professional school. Semester Events: Visit from Dr. Cheryl Hanau, Associate Dean for Admission, Drexel University College of Medicine. Wednesday, Sept. 24th in HS137. Hermione Hicks, Assistant Dean for Admissions, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine will talk about the JHU medical school and their admissions process. Monday, Nov. 10th at 11:30. Place TBA Dr. Josh Sharfstein, the Health Commissioner for the City of Baltimore, to talk about his path to becoming commissioner and some of the challenges he faces in his current position. Wednesday, Nov. 19th 7:00 -8:30 in Kelly Lecture Hall. Dr. Ron Berezniak, Head of Admissions for the Lake Erie College of Medicine in Bradenton ,Florida. will talk about osteopathic medicine and problem based learning. Friday, Nov. 21st from 12:30 to 1:30. Place TBA. Michelle Corbin, Representative from the National Health Service Corps to present information about scholarship opportunities for medical students.
