As you know, Goucher College has recently been reviewing its pandemic flu preparedness planning efforts. One service identified as critical, even in a crisis or emergency, is the distribution of the college’s payroll. In the event that the campus would ever need to be closed because of a severe flu outbreak or any other emergency, the on-campus distribution of paychecks would have to be suspended. Distribution of pay by direct deposit will not be interrupted by a campus closure. Enrolling now in the Direct Deposit Program will ensure that your payroll funds are always available on pay day, even in the case of an emergency.
Goucher’s Human Resources Department strongly recommends that you consider enrolling in the Direct Deposit Program if you haven’t already. It takes between two and four weeks for our payroll provider and your bank to process your enrollment, so now is a good time to initiate the process. A copy of the Direct Deposit Authorization Form is attached for your convenience. Please return the completed form, along with a voided check, to the Payroll Office, located in Dorsey Center, Suite 100.
If you have questions about direct deposit, contact Lisa Peddicord, payroll manager, at x6069.
