The Goucher Economics Club Presents Peter N. Kellogg, CFO of Merck & Co., Inc.

Peter N. Kellogg, the executive vice president and chief financial officer of Merck & Co., Inc., will discuss “How Do the Trends in Global Healthcare Affect Us?” on Thursday, March 26, at 8 p.m. in Buchner Hall of Goucher College’s Alumnae/i House.

Sponsored by the Goucher Economic Club, this event is free and open to Goucher students, faculty, staff, and members of the greater community.
 
One of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies, Merck produces drugs and vaccines such as Singulair and Gardasil. Since joinging the company in 2007, Kellogg has managed Merck’s accounting, business planning, treasury, tax, investor relations, and business development groups, and he has coordinated the company’s internal audit organization.

Prior to Merck, he served for seven years as the chief financial officer of Biogen Idec and the former Biogen, Inc. Previously, he was an executive with PepsiCo for 13 years in a range of financial and general management positions. 

Kellogg earned a bachelor of science degree from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a director of Metabolix, Inc., an industrial biotechnology company in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
