January 14, 2009 |

All staff, faculty, and students on campus are invited to gather in the Gopher Hole on Tuesday, January 20, 2009, for a community viewing of the historic inauguration of President Barack Obama.

The inauguration activities begin at 11:30 a.m., with the actual swearing-in of the president occurring shortly before noon. The entire ceremony will last until around 1:30 p.m., followed by a parade down Pennsylvania Avenue beginning at 2:30 p.m.

From 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., the staff of the Office of Student Engagement will serve free beverages and sell light fare and snacks at the Gopher Hole.  Feel free to bring your own lunch.  Anyone who wants to stop by the Gopher Hole outside of the usual lunch break should coordinate any time away from the office with his/her supervisor.

The Gopher Hole will be open from 10 :00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. with extra televisions in place.  See you there!
